The era of music you choose for this was during a time of awesome guitar solos and just all around great music. I see that Separate Ways was a big hit and I was surprised that the Top Gun theme didn't get a better reaction.

I think I have a new favorite version of this song and the original by Journey is pretty hard to beat.

Had secondary Traumatic stress(Secondary PTSD) From February 1st-March 2nd and then dealing with flashbacks since then all the way to May 31st. I've been 18 days without them June 18th and still going.

As someone who considers Journey as his favorite band, Seperate Ways was never a great song. But this version with the very strong guitars and minor changes they've made make it a great song. The vocals are fantastic. I love they only tweaked the music slightly and remain truthful to the original.

This song has way more replay value than the Daughtry/Lzzy version. I've said this from before they had Octane fans. This one has a genuine "headbang and have a good time with us" vibe to it. The Lzzy/Daughtry version is like "we know the song too. Do you like how we interpret what a 'real' crowd is like with how we did the cover? We know what makes money durrrrrr. We're stars so people will like us anyways" If you played 2 stages at once with this version and the other, the entire crowd will be at Eva Under Fire's stage. You can just tell that some random wrote the version's final product for Daughtry/Lzzy and even THEY don't like performing it. Just my opinion
